Dr. Lolin K. Hilgartner is a Chiropractic Physician, Certified Nutrition Specialist by the American College of Nutrition and a Certified Functional Endocrinologist.
Dr. Hilgartner graduated in 1985 from the University of Maryland with a degree in Kinesiology. She later attended Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1993. She maintained a private practice in Lake Oswego, Oregon for three years while her husband, Dr. Pete Hilgartner, finished his training at Western States. While in Oregon, she gave birth to her son, Caleb.
She moved to Leesburg, Virginia where she and her husband opened Hilgartner Chiropractic Clinic, P.C. (Now Hilgartner Health and Wellness, LLC) in 1997. In 2001, she and her husband started the local chapter for the Weston A. Price foundation in order to better educate their community about the value and necessity of local, whole food nutrition. They also helped establish a local food co-op that brings together the farmers and consumers in a healthy, mutually supportive relationship.
Dr. Hilgartner has extensive advanced training in clinical nutrition, functional medicine, and functional endocrinology. She has developed a strong reputation for her success in helping Autistic children, children with ADD/ADHD and in handling women’s health issues such as chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, anxiety and depression. She is also very well versed in sports nutrition for young, growing bodies.
She is well known in her community for her popular series of health lectures and has given classes on health and nutrition to many varied audiences.
