The human body heals through movement!
When your body moves your nervous system stimulates all your metabolic systems. Progressive exercise enhances your ability to adapt to your environment. It strengthens bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments. It helps maintain optimal body weight and body composition; the ratio of muscle, fat and bone.
Daily exercise is necessary for optimal health. People always ask, “What is the best exercise.” The short answer is, “The one you will DO.”
For optimal health, your exercise routine should develop strength, balance, stability, flexibility, and endurance. It’s important to make a distinction between exercise for health and training for competition. Too often, people are turned off from the idea of exercise because they associate exercise with the time, focus and discipline associated with athletic training.
A little bit of daily movement is more beneficial for overall health than intense exercise performed a couple times a week.
