The future of health care lies in energy medicine!
Throughout the ages, every culture has recognized that there is energy, which animates the human body. In Chinese medicine it’s called Chi. In Ayurvedic medicine it’s know as Prana. In the west, we call it the Soul. In Chiropractic, it’s known as the Innate Organizing Intelligence of the body.
It takes energy to keep the vast community of cells that make up the human body functioning in an organized and coordinated manner.
When you cut yourself, you don’t think about the steps required in the healing response. It “just happens.” In reality, it doesn’t just happen. There is an intelligence that directs the activation of the immune and repair response. That intelligence is Energy.
The paradox of health is that if this energy is impaired or depleted, coordination breaks down. If coordination breaks down, it draws on more energy to keep the system functioning…eventually depleting even more energy.
This can be witnessed as we watch people lose vitality when they are sick or aging.
In fact, Vitalism is the foundation to many of the “alternative” healing modalities such as Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Ayurveda, and the like.
For years, modern medicine, with it’s mechanistic approach, which looks at the body as merely a machine that needs to be managed or repaired with drugs or surgery, has attempted to invalidate Vitalism. However, modern science with its growing understanding of the quantum world is beginning to validate many of the precepts supporting a more vitalistic approach to healing.
In our view, both perspectives are valid. The human body is subject to the laws of physical matter and, as such, has its limitations. However, those limitations can me minimized by enhancing the function, communication and expression of the subtle healing energies of your body…your Innate Intelligence.
